purposes [Assented to 3 July 2008] The Parliament of Australia enacts: 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Statute Law Revision Act 2008. 2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Schedule 1—Amendment of principal Acts Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act 1984 1 Subsection 18(2A) (the subsection 18(2A) inserted by item 7 of Schedule 3 to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Amendment Act 2006) Renumber as subsection (2B). Acts Interpretation Act 1901 2 Subsections 19BA(4) and (5) Repeal the subsections. Note: This item repeals provisions that refer to a provision of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 that has been repealed. Admiralty Act 1988 3 Paragraph 4(3)(u) Omit "Arbitration (Foreign Awards and Agreements) Act 1974", substitute "International Arbitration Act 1974".
