An Act to enable His Eminence the Most
Reverend Patrick Francis Cardinal Moran,
Patrick Ryan Larkin, John Flanagan, and
John Seage, or other the trustees for the
time being of certain lands situated in
Castlereagh, Campbell, Elizabeth, and Hay
Streets, in the city of Sydney, to sell the
said land, and to provide for the applica-
tion of the proceeds thereof. [5th June,
1893.]
IZEREAS by a certain grant from the Crown under the hand
and seal 'of the Right Honorable Charles Robert, Baron
Carrington, Governor-in- -Chief of the Colony of New South Wales,
bearing date the tw enty-ninth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and ecighty-nine, the lands described in the Schedule
hereto were granted unto the Most Reverend Patrick Francis Moran,
the Reverend Patrick Ryan, Patrick Ryan Larkin, John Flanagan,
and John Seage, and their heirs, upon trust as a site for a Roman
Catholic Church: And whereas the said Reverend Patrick Ryan has
since departed this life: And whereas it is expedient that the said
land should be sold to the Municipal Council of Sydney, and that the
proceeds to arise from such sale should be apvlied in or towards the
purchase of another site for 2 Roman Catholic Church, in the parish
of Saint Laurence, in the city of Sydney and the erection of such
Church: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. After the passing of this Act it shall be lawful for the said
Patrick Francis Moran, Patrick Ryan Larkin, John Flanagan, and
John Seage (hereinalter styled trustees), their heirs and assigns, or
other the trustee or trustees for the time being of the said grant of the
twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand eight hundred. and eighty-
nine, to sell and absolute sly dispose of the said land by private contract
to the Municipal Council of Sydney at such price as may be agreed
between the said trustees and the said 1 Municipal Council, and when
sold to convey the same to the said Municipal Council freed and
discharged from the said trusts affecting the same, and the receipt in
writing of the said trustees, their heirs or assigns, or of the said
trustees or trustee for the time being of the said grant, shall absolutely
discharge the said Municipal Council from the purchase money from
seeing to the application of the said purchase money, and from all
liability as to the mis-application or non-application thereof.
2. The said trustees, their heirs or assigns, shall stand possessed
of all moneys arising from such sale as aforesaid upon trust to apply
the same in or towards purchasing and paying for another site for a
Roman Catholic Church, in the parish of Saint Laurence, in the city of
Sydney aforesaid, and building such Church; and the receipt of any
person or persons to whom any moneys shall be paid under the pro-
visions of this Act shall be valid and complete discharges to the said
trustees, their heirs or assigns, for such moneys.

TILE SCHEDULE REFERRED TO.
All that piece or parecl of land in our said Colony, containing by admeasurement
one rood thirty-four perches and three-fourths of a perch, be the same more or less,
situated in the county of Cumberland and parish of Saint Laurence, city of Sydney
Commencing on the building line of the southern side of Campbell- strect at its inter-
section with the building line of the eastern side of Castlereagh-street ; and bounded
thence on the north by the building line of Campbell-street 'aforesaid bearing south
eighty-six degrees twenty minutes cast one chain eighty-one links and ninety -three one-
hundredths of a link to the building line of Elizabeth-street; on the east by the building
line of Klizabeth-strect aforesaid bearing south fifty-five minutes east two chains seventy-
one links and one-fiftieth of a link to the building line of Hay-strect ; on the south by
the building line of Hay-street aforesaid bearing north cighty-six degrees seventeen
minutes west one chain sixty-four links and three~ "fourths of a link to the building line
of Castloreagh-street aforesaid ; and on the west by the building line of Castlere: ugh-
street atores: 'uid bearing north four degrees thirty-one minutes west two chains sev onty-
two links and eighty- -three onc-hundredths of a link, to the point of commencement.
