An Act to enable the Most Reverend Patrick
Francis Moran the Reverend James Peter
Hanrahan and Aston James Watkins as
Trustees of certain lands situated at
Randwick to sell the said land and to
provide for the appropriation of the pro-
ceeds thereof. [1st July, 1886. ]
AY TILEREAS by two grants from the Crown under the hand and
seal of Sir Augustus William Frederick Spencer Loftus
Governor-in-Chief of the Colony of New South Wales both bearing
datc the first day of March one thousand eight hundred and cighty-
one the lands deseribed in the Schedule hereto were granted unto the
Most Reverend Roger Bede Vaughan the said James Peter Hanrahan
and the Reverend Martin Augustine Holohan upon trust as sites for a
Roman Catholic Church and clergyman's residence And whereas by
an order of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Equity the
said lands were vested in the said Patrick Francis Moran James Peter
Hanrahan and Aston James Watkins upon the trusts declared in and
by the said deeds of grant or such of the same as are now subsisting
and capable of taking effect And whereas it is expedient that the said
lands should be sold and that the proceeds to arise from such sale
should be applied in or towards the erection of a Roman Catholic
Church and clergyman's residence upon another and more cligible site
at Randwick aforesaid and in payment for such site Be it therefore
enacted by the Gueen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly
of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of
the same as follows :—
1. After the passing of this Act it shall be lawful for the said
Patrick Francis Moran James Peter Hanrahan and Aston James
Watkins bercinafter styled Trustees their heirs and assigns or other
the Trustees for the time heing of the said grants of the first day of
March one thousand cight hundred and cighty-one to scl] and abso-
utely dispose of the said land by public auction or private contract
and cither in one lot or several lots as they shall deem most expedient
for such price or prices as can be had or obtained for the same and
when sold to convey the same or any part or parts thereof to the
purchaser or purchasers in fee-simple 'tyeed and dischar eed from the
said trusts affecting the same and the receipt in writing of the said
Trustees their heirs or assigns or of the 'Trustees or Trustee for the
time being of the said grants shall absolutely discharge the purchaser
or purchasers of the said land or any part or parts thercof from the
purchase money payable by him or them from seeing to the application
of the said purchase money and from all liability as to the mis-appli-
cation or non-application thereof.
2. The said 'Prustces their heirs or assigns shall stand possessed
of all moneys arising from any and every such sale or sales as afore-
seid upon trust to" apply the proceeds of such sale in or towards
purchasing and paying for an cligible site for a Roman Catholic
Church and clergyman's residence at Randwick aforesaid and building
such church and residence and the receipt of any person or persons to
whom any moneys shall be paid under the provisions of this Act shall
be valid and complete discharge to the said Trustees their heirs or
assigns for such moneys.

SCITEDULE.
All that piece or parecl of land in our said Colony containing by admeasurement
three roods thirty-seven perches be the same more or less situated in the county of Cum-
berland and parish of Alexandria at Randwick Commencing at the north- eastern corner
of A. McGee's six acres three roods and bounded thence on the south by part of the
northern houndary of that land bearing west tour chains forty-three links on the west by
the eastern, boundary of a measured portion of one rood thirty-six perches bearing north
two chains nine links and half-a-link on the north-west by lines bearing north seventy-
one degrees east two chains ten links and thence north fifty- -six degrees east forty links on
the north-cast by a road one chain wide bearing south forty -two degrees twenty-seven
minutes cast three chains twenty links and on 'the cast by a line bearing south sixty-
three links to the point of commencement.
Also that piece or parcel of land in our said Colony containing by admeasure-
ment two roods be the same more or less situated in the county of Cumberland and parish
of Alexandria at Randwick Commencing at a point bearing north forty-seven degrees
thirty-three minutes cast and distant one chain from the north-eastern corner of a
measured portion of three roods thirty-seven perches appropriated for a Roman Catholic
Church and bounded thenee on the south-west by a road one chain wide bearing north
forty-two degrees twenty-seven minutes west three chains four links on the nor! rth- west
by lines Dearing north fitty-six degrees east one chain fifty-five links and thence north
sixty-nine degrees cast one chain fifty links on the east by a line bearing south three
chains five links and on the south-east by a line bearing south forty-scven degrees thirty-
three minutes west ninety links to the point of commencement.
