one vears the provisions of the City Bank Act,
whereby The City Bank of Svdney as thereby
incorporated was empowered to make, issue,
circulate, and re-issue bank notes or bills.

 ITEREAS by the terms of the seventh scetion of the City Bank
Act the provisions therein contained for empowering The City
Bank to make, issue, circulate, and re-issue bank notes or bills in
manner therein provided were thereby limited toa term of twenty-one
years, to commence as therein mentioned: And whereas by the first:
section of the City Bank Act Extension Act of 1884 the said provisions
were extended for a period of twenty-one years from the passing
thereof: And whereas the said extended term of twenty-one years
will shortly expire, and it is expedient to further extend the said
provisions: And whereas by the first scetion of The City Bank of
Sydney Act the name of the said bank was changed to The City Bank
of Sydney, and it was enacted that all the provisions of the said fiest
two recited Acts, except so far as they were altered by the said last
vecited Act, should apply to the said bank, and that, subject to such
change of name as aforesaid, the said three recited Aets should be
read as one Act: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most.
Execllent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. The powers conferred upon The City Bank, now known as
The City Bank of Sydney, by the seventh section of the City Bank
Act, and extended by the City Bank Act Extension Act of 1884, shall,
subject to the provisions contained in the said first-mentioned Act and
in The City Bank of Sydney Act, be and the same are hereby further
extended, and shall continue and remain in foree for a term of
twenty-one years from the commencement of this Act.
2. This Act may be cited as the "City Bank Act Extension
Act of 1905,"
