Schedule 1—Amendment of the Passenger Movement Charge Act 1978 Passenger Movement Charge Amendment Act 2001 No. 79, 2001 An Act to amend the Passenger Movement Charge Act 1978, and for related purposes [Assented to 30 June 2001] The Parliament of Australia enacts: 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Passenger Movement Charge Amendment Act 2001. 2 Commencement This Act commences on 1 July 2001. 3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms. Schedule 1—Amendment of the Passenger Movement Charge Act 1978 1 Section 6 Omit "$30", substitute "$38". 2 Application The amendment of section 6 of the Passenger Movement Charge Act 1978 made by this Schedule applies in relation to the departure of a person from Australia on or after 1 July 2001, unless: (a) the person departs using a ticket or equivalent authority; and (b) the ticket or authority was sold or issued before 1 July 2001.
