Customs Amendment (2007 Harmonized System Changes) Act 2006 No. 119, 2006 An Act to amend the Customs Act 1901, and for related purposes Contents 1 Short title 2 Commencement 3 Schedule(s) Schedule 1—Amendments Customs Act 1901 Customs Amendment (2007 Harmonized System Changes) Act 2006 No. 119, 2006 An Act to amend the Customs Act 1901, and for related purposes [Assented to 4 November 2006] The Parliament of Australia enacts: 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Customs Amendment (2007 Harmonized System Changes) Act 2006. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms. Schedule 1—Amendments Customs Act 1901 1 After subsection 269SD(2) Insert: (2A) If, because of an amendment of a Customs Tariff, the CEO is satisfied that the tariff classification that is stated in a TCO to apply to the goods the subject of the TCO will not apply to those goods from a particular day, the CEO may: (a) make an order revoking the TCO with effect from that day; and (b) make a new TCO in respect of the goods with effect from that day. 2 Subsection 269SE(2) After "(2)", insert ", (2A)". 3 Paragraph 273GA(1)(s) After "(2)", insert ", (2A)".
