Schedule 1—Amendment of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 Interactive Gambling Amendment Act 2001 No. 139, 2001 An Act to amend the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and for related purposes [Assented to 1 October 2001] The Parliament of Australia enacts: 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Interactive Gambling Amendment Act 2001. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3 Schedule(s) Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms. Schedule 1—Amendment of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 1 Subsection 61BA(2) Omit "and 61BG", substitute ", 61BG and 61BGA". 2 After section 61BG Insert: 61BGA Exception—advertisements of a kind specified in the regulations The regulations may provide that an advertisement of a kind specified in the regulations is not an interactive gambling service advertisement for the purposes of this Part.
